Report on the condition and state of the frontier areas of New Spain, 1752 Jun 4.

The report, addressed to the Marques de Ensenada, minister of Charles III of Spain, discusses the depopulated province of Texas, recommends a military governor be appointed for northern Texas and California, evaluates the governors of New Mexico and Texas, and discusses the idea of repopulating these areas with Spanish emigrants. He also suggests further missionary work to convert the Indians and requests military assistance to pacify hostile Indians.
